There is no cabin/interior filter on the GMT-3607/370 platform (aka all TBs and Envoys plus 3-4 others). The only air filter is the engine one, and if you are getting that mileage in the city you should be happy, I get 14mpg city and 20-21hwy. But, I have 3.73 gears in the back for towing, that probably loses a little on the hwy as the RPMs are higher.

I drive a 2 wheel drive LT in Houston traffic (6cly.). I have owned mine for about 8 months and have put 23000 trouble free miles on it. One cross country trip. To date, it is a great SUV. You will enjoy yours.

Nope, doesnt matter 2WD or 4WD, no cabin air filter on the GMT-360/370 platform.

You have one of 3 gear ratios in the rear diff:
3.42
3.73
4.10
Your LS 4x4 prolly has the 3.42's, the highest range. Slooooow to take-off, but supposedly the best hywy MPG's. IMO- don't bother with a K&N air filter. They let in too much dirt and dont enhance anything.

I had a K&N on a 4 brl carb. car a few yrs back and it made a ton of differnce w/ the power. Is fuel inj. not as generous as a carb. I don't think i have 4.10 in the rear. It doesn't have a whole hell of alot from the start, but15 -20 mph.,step on it and it goes alright. especially on the hwy. oh that is fun. mileage isn't great, about 14 city and 19-20 on the hwy consistently. If i have tall gears i'd hate to see mileage w/ the others
