tell your mechanic to relax, its the easiest swap in the world as long as y ou are going into a si. bolts right in. si tranny and axles all work the same also. all you have to do is take the wires from your distributor harness pull them out and put them in the ac distributor harness. after you do that you have two left connect them to the cam sensor and done. i did mine myself, i also work on cars everyday but it was my first swap. when your all said in done you will have one plug left over from your original throttle body. its gravy, you do everything right and every thign goes smoothly you could start in morning adn be cruising by night.

I live in Baltimore, I would seriously help you, but I never did it before. However I am planning my own ZC Swap towards the end of summer so if you do it yourself maybe you can help me do it! :D

works for me :D how soon could we start? if i can find help in the next few weeks, i'll just buy the supplies instead of putting the car into the shop.

btw, the car is a dx :( it's still an easy swap. i don't understand the mechanic. he said he would do a crx si engine, but he won't do a zc  what gives?

I'm pretty sure all you need to do is convert from DPFI to MPFI which is like one wire harness from HAsport, and then rewire the distributor and run a wire to a cam or something. Everything else is just physically installing and uninstalling. I don't know if you need to replace the axels for a ZC or if DX axels can handle it or not.

Where exactly in Baltimore do you live. If you had all the equipment like a space and an engine lift and no one else is willing to help you I could, I mean it would be good to see it done before I do mine.

i live in the ghetto :D (north & eutaw). the car'll probably be in catonsville. i can probably count on 2 more people, but they've never done swaps or anything. btw, do you know the cats at next level in catonsville? my boy works there and i'm gonna ask him. if u don't know him, then that was pointless. anyway, if you'll help, then i'll make plans on buying an engine in the next week.

thanks

I am going to Catonsville Community in the fall so I know how to get down there already. If you want my help I'll do it, cuz that way I think by end of summer I am going to do my ZC so then you could help me. So count me in as long as you got the tools I'll help out.

I'm available pretty much any Sunday after 12:00 definitely. And since I don't work until 4:00 I am around weekdays then but Sunday is the best.

hey guys,
sounds like alot of upcoming fun...my Zc motor just arrived on a pallet as well..Im going to be puttin it into a CRX HF at the end of next week....one other thing I just realized today...which Im not sure is concentrated on..I know I didnt think about it till i actually took off the shrink wrap off the motor is that the exhaust manifold has a dual port outlet....for me this means one more step on the exhaust side since my 16 ton pipe bender just arrived Im plannin on custom bending a 2.25" steel pipe 14 Gauge from the exhaust header back....once I figure out what Im gonna do with the joint at the header...it should make things easier...but in all...its gonna be fun
Good luck
Sunil
