I have an 01 Passat GLS. I took it in and have multiple problems with it. I want to actually sell it and need to know which things I should get fixed and which I should leave before I sell it. It has 97K miles on it. Here is the list:

Vaccum Sensor - $208
Broken Hose - $80
Front O2 sensor/Mass Air Flow meter??- $477
Right CV Boot - $208
Hood Shock - $48
Coolant Flush - $90
Fan Belt/Timing Belt - $ 780
Transmission - $ 332
Rear Brakes - $ 210 and Brake Flush $ 80

Any help is appreciated. Thx.

What's wrong with the tranny?
Don't fix anything if you can trade it in at a dealership!

hahahahah no wonder people complain that used vw's are pieces of crap.

dont worry about the timing belt unless you have over 100k. I have seen v6 passats with 140k miles with original timing belt. but then again it was all highway and your belt might be cracked and in need of replacement.
if your going to sell it replace anything that causes a check engine light. maintenence can be done by the next owner at there expense (doing such wont raise the value of car.. ex-spending 1500 on maintenence stuff wont make your car worth 1500.00 more)

My wife and I save a lot of money on our Passat's brakes by going to a brake shop. That 80$ flush fee is load of crap. Any national chain of brake shop should be able to do the job.
