The Raelian Movement

As far as I know, the Raelian Movement is the only religion that demystifies everything around us. Everything has a rational explanation. For those who never heard of the Raelian Movement here's a brief explanation: All life was created by scientists from another planet, including us. The universe is infinite in time and space. Rael, the last prophet, was given the responsibility by the Elohim (term used by Raelians for those scientists from another planet) to spread the final message to all humanity. To learn more, go to http://www.rael.org and download a free e-book starting with "Intelligent Design: Message from the Designers".

So saying god made some scientists, who then made us, demystifies everything? OK, I'm convinced.
By the way, where did god come from? If we can't exsist without a creator (god) how can he?
I wonder if raelian1 will ever be back.

From the FAQ section of the Raelian Movement web site
Q. Who Created the Elohim?
A. If we believed in God, we might ask "Who created God". If we believed in evolution and the "Big Bang" we might ask "where did this matter and energy come from that created the big-bang?". For the Elohim, it is the same - they were created by people coming from the sky as were their creators. It's an infinite cycle of life. One day scientists from earth will also go to another planet and populate it.
This and many more questions can be answered from http://www.rael.org by reading the summary, checking out the FAQ section and downloading the free e-book "Intelligent design: Message from the Designers".

Isn't Elohim a hebrew word for Lord?
Actually, Elohim is a hebrew word in the Bible that means "those that came from the sky" but was mistranslated as God. The IM at the end is actually a plural.

Although I have little but contempt for Raelians, this sounds no more far-fetched to me than the Book of Genesis :)
(and the entire old Testament for that matter)

While certainly possible, this circular argument does not answer the question posed, nor does it give an explanation for where the original, first scientists came from.
You shouldn't come to a battle of wits unarmed.

RAELIAN1, I like that you and Rael get to run around with naked chicks all day, but I offer one alternative to you, go to your local Nazarene church, and ask for their free book. They'll gladly give you one. If not, holler to me, I'll send you one and ship it too.

just out of curiosity I went to the site and tried to download their "Intelligent_Design" it wouldnt even download!
Then I though while I'm here I might as well make a day of it and try some other "free" literature, its crap tooo! After filling out a free membercrap you still arent able to download shit. Sneaky aelians.
I dont consider Intelligent Design any differnt than immaculate conception, if we evolved what 'Were' we before this? Thats the question we should be asking.
I think Raelian1's ship just left town...

Well, it's not quite spam.
There Raelians are based in Quebec and take themselves very seriously.
They are a bunch of way-out nutjobs, imo, but they seem to be able to recruit devoted members, some of whom actually have educations, real jobs and money.
The difference between them and your average nutjob cult is the degree of organization that they have.
Part of their philosophy is based on the use of cloning by their alleged alien founders. Therefore, they are making serious attempts, and spending money to create human clones, in the same way animal clones have been made for the last 10 years or so.
They think that a successful human clone will somehow validate their bizarre sci-fi theology.
The problem is such research is illegal/unethical pretty much world wide. About 3 years ago, they announced they had created a human clone, which was not yet born.
They are a bunch of shameless publicity hounds. Since they never announced a successful birth their claims of cloning success were either a simple fabrication or the alleged cloned baby did not survive.

emmaculate conception was when marry gave birth to jesus, she was a virgin who gave birth. intelligent design is the belief that a higher power created us, whether it's aliens, god(s), scientists, etc.

I remember seeing the leader of the Realians on Dr. Phil. I thought it was a complete joke (and so Dr. Phil). Seriously though, would you take beings from another world seriously? Especially if they travel in a giant metallic condom (ref: flash intro on the site)? It could be possible.. but it seems a little absurd. Just my opinion though.

I think religion is interesting, and so i quite often read the scripts of any religion i find. This Raelian Movement stuff has got to be the most far fetched! They talk in circles, never answering the core questions of religion: Who are we, who created us and where did the creator come from/who created the creator?
Why do they bother trying to convince intelligent people (such as us) to believe in that Bull Crap!?!?!?:nono: :screwy: :banghead:

becuase every religion around the world has done the same thing...
it all starts somewhere...just ask david karesh...
some idiot has an idea as to what they think their high being wants, so they tell us about it, and hope for a following.

We are not trying to convince anyone. Just only to inform people.
