GM elects York to board

General Motors on Monday elected Jerry York to its board effective Tuesday, Feb. 7. York represents billionaire investor Kirk Kerkorian, who owns a 9.9 percent stake in GM. York will be on the Public Policy Committee and Investment Funds Committee.
