i have a blue 1991 camaro with a v6 3.1L. everything is stock in it for now. as soon as i get the money i am changing out the v6 to a 383 stroker. but for now i need to know what i can do to boost the performance of my car. i like to race, but i am limited on what i beat. i look out one of my bright lights and put a tube in that whole to go directly to my intake (has a filter in the middle of tube) to get air in faster. i also gutted the inside of my muffler. i want to make my car as fast and as powerful as possible, but dont want to spend a fortune on it. someone please help me out. i dont know much so please speek in terms i could understand (i.e. details, parts, names, etc.):repost: :feedback:

Well to be honest, there's really not much you can do to make that puppy faster. And from what there is that you can do, it wouldn't be worth it, especially if your planning on an engine swap later on down the road. This is coming from a guy who has a 3.4L (which is identical to your 3.1L). I've put pacesetter headers on, removed cat, Borla cat-back exhaust, and got a SLP cold air intake. So my engines pretty much breathing 20 times better than it ever did... and it's still pretty slow. I will admit it is alot quicker than before, but it's nowhere near raceworthy. Unless you're racing a stock Civic or something.
