Well this morning i hop on the 405 freeway and punch the gas on the on ramp well i hit 70mph when i got to the top and i look over and i see a motorcycle chp so i let off and he lets me get infront of him and he pulls me over for doing 95. Well he comes up to my window and ask for my info and i ask him what's the problem and he says your doing 95 and i told him i was doing 70 and he said he must have pulled that number out of his ass and i told him he must have. Well i told him there was no way possible for me to do 95mph uphill in that short distance. I told him that it's not even a 1/4 mile for me to run those numbers, well he told me to save it, then i just told him to give me my fucken ticket because i needed to get to work. This cop was just been a ass, fuck i'm so pissed, i have a good driving record and now this shit happens. Fuck i should have just punched it and ran from that bastard j/k.:frown: :frown: :banghead:

I did but he said he paced me. I asked him how if i was on the onramp and he just said save it for the court. Im so pissed of right now it's not even funny, when he gives me the ticket he tells me stay on the shoulder and pick up speed and then get on the freeway, that's when i just fucken punched it and left a nice burnout.

Pacing has never been a valid proof of speed. Combined with a clean record the traffic court should take some mercy. Although the account of last second reckless driving might not help :( Never know

in kentucky pacing is not valid proof of speed....the comment on asking to see proof of the radar gun, when the officer has to go out of his or her way to show you that and be accountable for the driver of the vehicle, any passengers, and the safety of traffic...any chance of getting a warning is all but gone

Sucks dude. I got pulled over for "53" in a 30. I'll admit that I was speeding, but I was doing about 43-44 ( I try to do about 10 over through there and I coulda sworn the limit was 35). This was in my parents Lumina too. There was no way I was going that fast. Besides that, the place where he got me is a total speed trap. It's a 4 lane road (with a big ass divider too) in the middle of no where. ...And they have the limit set at 30! All I can say is fight it.

In PA it is ... 2/10th's of mile and you're history.
BUT... if he was behind you you should have slammed on the brakes as hard as you could and veered off the road, and then after he's hauled away in an ambulance, and they ask you why you did that, you could tell them one of 2 things....
A. That he scared you and you tried to get off the road and out of his way but he was coming up so fast, you thought he was racing someone you didn't even see his lights.
B. There was a deer in the road... I don't know how he didn't see it. Maybe it was because he was so close to me that he wasn't being safe???

I find the more you question police officers when they pull you over the more likely they are purposely going to try and find something wrong. I have been pulled over for stuff I was dead wrong on and I was just polite and handed over my stuff and didn't ask anything til he checked out my stuff. They usually just let me go. I have been a dick to them a few times in the past and usually ended up with a few tickets in hand.
On a side note awesome to see another Chevy mod active in the forums again.

no mater where u go, most cops are, and will always be assholes. u may find 1 exception here and there but not where i live. here in md, its the state troopers that are the problem. u have to put up with their bs, then they have the nerve to call ur house and ask for donations. :angryfire i told them if i don't get immunity from tickets, f off.

What he said.
And not all cops are dicks but if you have that attitude with them then they will be. Think about it, not saying some cops arent dicks but they dont know if youre about to whip a gun out on them or something... and if youre being aggressive or belligerent towards them why SHOULDNT they be jsut as aggressive right back?
And you guys who think you have bad cop, unless youre in CA I laugh... just come to NJ and try half that shit.
Pacing is valid here as well.

AMEN to whoever said State Troopers are assholes. Had the same thing happen... got a ticket cop changed story, I lost. Judge TOLD the prick his story didn't make sense and he still won. WTF???
Anyhoo, this one time, I was sitting down to dinner, the phone rings and it's a guy soliciting donations for the State Police PBA. I said "Listen to me pal, let me tell you HOW MUCH MONEY THOSE BASTARDS COSTED ME OVER THE LAST YEAR..." He said "Oh boy... Sir I'm sorry to bother you" and hung up.

That, my friend, is exactly why all police have reputations for being assholes. :flipa: :biggrin2: :chair: :twak: I would have appealed the ruling, and considered having the ethics bar question the judge for bias towards the cops.
The one I was talking about, when I went to fight the ticket, the guy before me was trying to fight a ticket for doing 170+ in a ferrari  . His argument was that he had a radar jammer, and a radar detector and the detector never went off. He also said he was being singled out because the cop was jealous that he owned a car that costs more than the police officer made in the last 3 years. :grinyes:   :ylsuper: Did you ever try not laughing in a stone silent court room??? :cwm27: I about pissed myself. :iceslolan

I got a crap ticket by a local cop in a small town, passing a car that was going 15 mph under the posted limit, sped up when I passed him. Fought the ticket, stood up in the courtroom before court was called into session and asked if anyone else was fighting a ticket in that town same day same area, had 2 other people there. Interesting part was they both passed the same car in the same passing zone.... Judge ripped the cop a new one in the courtroom.
Other than that, most of the experiences I have had with cops has been pleasant.

thats halarious!
small town PD's may only have traffic tickets as income. they will give u one for just about anything. ex: if anyone drives through littlestown,pa, don't speed. the speed limit in the town is 25. some days there are cops sitting where u come into town and where u come out of town. u can get away with 26 but hit 27 and u will probably get pulled over. i know many people who have had this happen.
