Thanks for that good info. Quick question though. That annoying "ticking" sound when the engine is cold, that won't hurt the car will it?

I bought some hyper lube but after reading that, I don't think it will help huh..?

Yeah, old thread but Oil engineers know what they are doing. Pretty much any oil additive is not something you want to be putting in your engine. Get on Google and look Bob The Oil Guy. There is a lot of good information there. Anyhow, the ticking isn't going to hurt anything but getting the 3rd gen lifters will get rid of it.

Polygon is correct, you couldn't pay me to put additives into my oil....I don't care what brand.
