Hi I have a 94 jeep cherokee with a 4.0 auto 4x4. My problem is it runs great but if I let it warm up for a few minutes and shut it down it won't restart for a few ,sometimes. It has no spark or injector pulse. I have changed the CPS with a new wells from the local parts store that didn't work so I went to the dealer and got one and samething happens. Also does anyone have a site were I can find out how to pin for codes? Any help would be great Thx Jim

Hey Jim - Welcome to the forum.

I am not 100% sure, but I think you can do the "3-key turns" trick to get the codes.

Turn the key (in ignition) from OFF to ON (don't START) 3 times within about 5 seconds & stop at ON the third time.

Then count the flashes of the Check Engine light to get the codes.
FLASH - Pause - FLASH FLASH would be a 12 code. No codes stored should be a 55 (end of display).

Take Care,

This could be several prob. One of which is the CPS, which you have already done. Another that I have encountered on all three of my Cherokees is the pickup coil or stator in the distributor. The Haynes manual says that hard starting could be caused by this. In my experience when the stator goes bad it won't start at all.
