Hey there everyone. I used to think there was no such thing as a real short shifter for the prelude, then I found the short shifter adapter, and got it. Then I saw the Forbidden Motorsports short shifter and wanted it so bad, but then I got to thinking...why not just make my own? Some of you might be laughing, but its VERY possible. BTW did anyone know the shifter post is a hollow piece of metal? I took about an inch out of the post, and changed the angle at which the shift knob sits. 1st->2nd is a wrist snap, and 2nd->3rd feels like it falls foward off a cliff when it goes in gear. I spent most of the day Saturday making it, and if I can figure out how to get pics of it on the computer. I didn't take b4 & after pics bekuz I didn't know how this thing was gonna come out...but I'm happy. Sorry for the long ass post, but once I get the pics up, u'll see. :evillol:

Right on man.. I love homebuilt projects. Ever seen a rear strut tie bar for a 4th gen 4WS? I have one. I made it. I'm proud.
Kudos to you shoof. Can't wait to see pictures.

I used an angle grinder to cut through it, then grinding about .75 of an inch off the top side with the threads, and then had my friend weld it back together. Then I cleaned up his weld job with the angle grinder and bolted back in place.
