bypass valve

i am looking for a bypass valve for my aem cold air intake. i have a b18c1 and got the hybrid intake made to fit my car. does anyone know where i should cut the intake and put on the bypass valve? will a cheap bypass valve work just as well as an aem?

usually, u cut about halfway between the throttle body and the filter (but a lil closer toward the filter).. just make sure that u dont put the bypass valve right next to the throttle body.. cuz then u might've as well as not put one.
