I have a 2000 Cutless (oops should have been Century Buick) that operates normally in all apsects except after refuling. Every time I refuel the car is hard to start. You have to crank several times and when it fires you have to keep the rpms up for a while to keep it running. Then the first time you put it in gear it normally dies once. More cranking and keeping rpms up for a while then it is ok till next fill up. Mechanic found one vacuum leak and put in a new fuel pump. Same problem. Check Engine soon light is still on, mechanic said he probably forgot to reset the codes. Very lo milage car (17K) but this is frustrating. Any thoughts would be most appreciated. JD

Are you sure you are getting spark. Are you sure there is enough fuel at the rails.Check the timing on the car might be off just alittle aswell.

Thanks, Scoot, I'm taking the car back to the mechanic today and I'll ask him to check these items. Thanks again, JD
