Have a SES light and have changed o2 sensor. Anyone had this problem on this truck? runs rough at idle, seems to hunt for idle speed, gas consumption seems normal, sort of a misfire at idle, runs ok at speed. Any help is good help thx

code 23 is a vacuum solenoid circuit open or grounded. vacuum problems often cause rough idle and or stalling. you're probably gonna have to replace it. also replace your PCV valve, it costs about $2. to locate the vacuum solenoid on your engine (which you didn't specify) check this link:

Check your Intake Air Temperature Sensor mounted on the big rubber fitting connected to the throttle plate in front of your intake manifold. Many folks (including me...more than once) forget to reconnect this after cleaning the EGR valve or throttle plate.

NAPA has new gaskets for the EGR that have a screen to catch carbon paritcles. I highley recomend them, particulary on older engines where carbon build up is a problem. Also use a good quality gas with cleaners like Chevron, really makes a difference.
