Muffler mentality, Love them or hate them

Picture this, a car with no other mods but a muffler. Stainless with 2 or 3" of clearance from the bottom of the muffler to the street . Always a subcompact, sometimes a midsize, always loud and some how they all sound the same. Now you got a good picture? Now picture this type of car pulling up next to you and reving their engine, looking over at you ,in a challenging sort of way! What do you do when the light changes?
A. Laugh!
B. Look away!
C. when the light changes, pay them no mind and idle to the next one.
D. Let them take off, and waste their gas!
E. Stomp the pedal, pull way ahead of them, cross into their lane, go to the far lane, hit your brakes so that you now go behind them, cross to your origanal lane and pass them again! A full 360!!
I chose E.
And that was only after the taunting for the past three lights, I'm not proud that I did it, I don't know why I did it, I just did! I had that funny feeling afterwards, the feeling that you did something really wrong and that you should feel guilty but you don't!! I don't like busting ego's but this had to be done (at least that is what I tell myself). I have a good amount of HP and will be adding a stroker kit to my engine for more torque, I want to stop but I can't. I am pushing 508 hp thru a v6 and I will start putting the nitous kit on in two weeks!! This is a daily driver!! I now average 12.9 mpg and I have to almost idle everywhere that I go . There! I feel better now, letting it out has somehow cleansed me, I can now go on without a guilty concience. Thanks for giving me an understanding ear.

E. was the right choice man
I would really have liked to see the look on that persons face after you blew by them the second time Nice JOB
..... what kind of mods did you put on your truck to get that much horsepower out of a v6 ???
good you got it off your conscience.... makes a good story

I guess it depends if I'm riding my bike, driving my summer car, or cutting the grass.
When I have either my cycle out, or my summer car, I get this type of unwanted attention all the time. I choose to ignore it. By choice, I always ignore ANYONE with a Coffee Can Muffler.

I did a couple of threads a while ago, one was Blazer SS Pictures, If you want to see the pictures go farther down into the listing and use the link that Cailen has provided for me. Another Real Performance from a v6, check those out, I have done a lot more since then and thanks to Rilth I am just finishing my steering wheel mod. I will post more pictures of all of the new stuff along with an updated list of what I have done so far.

Now I feel realy bad! Turns out that the kid lives down the street from me. As I was on my way home, I seen Him and his car in the driveway. For some reason I stopped and spoke to him. Turns out He isn't a bad kid, What He wanted me to do was rev my engine. He had seen My truck almost every day and liked it. He just never heard or seen it on the road. I kind of felt bad thinking that I hurt his Feelings. What I have to remember is that kids don't have much money and they want what they see, and in most cases they see and hear mufflers, so they save and get one. I asked him to pop his hood and see what he had. The engine was bone stock just as I thought. This weekend I told him that maybe we could tweek his car a little and maybe I can explain to him why what I did was so stupid and why all displays of speed and performance has its place, and that place is not on the street.

Hey, we all have our moments of weakness.:nono:lol. Usually I don't pay the imports much attention. Probably due to the fact that I don't even hear them over the rumble of my exhaust. I rather enjoy setting off car alarms with the sound of my exhaust when I drive by parked cars. To each his own I guess.
Cool story though!:grinyes:
