Yes, have a professional do it. It's going to cost probably atleast $100 for them to do it, but you don't want to try it yourself. Too many people screw it up and get weird problems with the electrical in their cars. Just pay the money and have somebody who knows wtf they are doing do it.

but is the viper 791 vx a good choice even tho i have a manual? because the place that would install it says that they would just not hook that up.
Also can the turbo timer still work even tho the auto start is not hooked up?

Go for it, and have it installed by a pro. I purchased my 791XV from EBay, along with 3 extra modules. It's the best alarm out these, though it'll suck that AAA battery quick...have a Costco pack ready.

Definity get a pro to do it. But (in my area) be prepared to pay around $150 plus. The most I heard when I called up, when I trying to get a simple keyless entry installed, was around $300...insane!

Sphyder has the viper 791 vx so does the turbo timer that is part of that alarm still work with the car being a manual?

Yes. The turbo timer works with manual. If the hood is popped, or the brake pedal depressed any time during the turbo timer working, the car will turn off. The timer has built in timer modes that need to be set by a pro...1 minute, 3 minute, 5 minute, and 10 minute timer.
You can also have remote start with the 791xv, if you want. You will have to by-pass the clutch, which is illegal in some states, and can be dangerous if you are used to leaving your car in gear (I never leave my car in gear, so it's not a problem for me). But it's pretty cool, and saves me a load of boring time sitting in the car for 5 minutes.

I got my viper791 with installation for 350 on my cobra.
I didn't get the remote start because the key has a chip in it and you have to have on in the car in order for it to start and a spare key is like 300 bucks. But I think I got a pretty good deal.
