well i'm in here for a little more than a month and i realize i never introduce myself properly, so here it is:

real name is René, in from a little towm close to Québec city canada and my main interest in modeling is rally cars, but i'm into all kind of motorsport. i also do some tuner cars 'caus it's kind of motorsport related. i agree i'm not the best of modeler's but i do pull myself out of the lot with my work. i build mostly out of box models by choice 'cause i hate to spend year on the same model and i don't have much time to model

i'm also one of the founding member of my model club (Club modéliste-Québec) and i'm part of the team who put together our local model show in october (this year october 15, 2006).

i hope you like my work, please keep in mind that some of those where built almost ten year ago when i was begining in the hobby.

this one is a replica of my very first model, i find a seconde one and rebuild it after loosing the other one in a little mishapes.

here's my lancer evo V out of box project
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e283/yelobike/mitsubishilancerevoV.jpg

this one is my first attempt at openning a door on a model, i also had some engine detail (not much). it was plan to be put it in a diorama stuck in the sand dune but i just never finish it
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e283/yelobike/peugeot405T16GR.jpg

then i build this one, a corolla WRC, in fact there was some model in betwen each but not worty to be shown. i bought a PE set for this one when i had almost finish so i didn't put it in.http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e283/yelobike/toyotacorrolaWRC.jpg

somewhere in time i build this unimog from the dakar rally, almost oob again
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e283/yelobike/Mercedesbenzunimog.jpg

on this one i did my first major conversion from street to race. it's a rally car owned by an american whose name is William Bacon and he raced it in north american rally championship. i built two of those the other one i sell to him, he intend to keep it as a reminder of the only race car he could afford

well that's it for now. more to come in this tread later.

Great job with the Corolla WRC,I know from building it myself it can be a tricky kit to decal, but you have done a superb job on it.I love the Unimog it's something different and I really like it.Keep up the good work and I hope to see more models from you.Steve.:grinyes:

actually it's a revell kit with scratch build race int. and my own cast wheels and tires (15"type-r wheel and yokohama A032R tires, just like the real one)

the paint is from tamiya and is racing white (TS-7)

Great collection of models, thanks for sharing them with us.

Since the weight is towards motorsports subjects, I'll move this thread to the Completed and In-Progress - Motorsports forum. :)

i put my tread in the general section because i have some tuner to show also, just didn't have time to post them the other time. i agree that most of them are race models though.

well here's another batch of my models:

this was my first attempt at a tuner car. it was motivated by a special theme for a model show i go every year, it was sport compact and limited to 4 and 6 cylinder engine cars. about the same time i saw a magasine with a V8 powered ford focus and i decided to do that, later i found that it was limited to 4 and 6 cyl. engine. the engine is from an R32 skyline from tamiya and the focus is a rally one from tamiya also. it still have the awd drive train and part of the rollcage.
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e283/yelobike/Mocrazypwerdfordfocus.jpg

this one is my second tuner/first drifter model. since i put the engine from the R32 into the focus, i decide to use the fenders and quarter panel of it to widdened the 240SX you see here. i also add the fron bumper cover to the car. the rear wing is part SAS, part spare box and the wheels are actually two set of fujimi combined and the tire of the revell fast and furious supra.
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e283/yelobike/nissan240SXwidebody.jpg

renault 8 gordini from heller. was fun to build OOB
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e283/yelobike/renault8gordini.jpg

renault 5 turbo, first try at a multi tone paint sheme (well more than two colors) came out nice. still an OOB project
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e283/yelobike/renault5turbo.jpg

last serious one i finish, lancer EVO VII. build it during the hollyday of x-mas 2004 to 2005. my familly was away and i was alone here so i build. took me about three week to do from start to finish. OOB again
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e283/yelobike/mitsubishilancerevoVII.jpg

in the not so serious project, i build this one for another shows special theme ,
this time it was the red truck (any question??) it's a 30 something pick up with a top full engine, scratch build suspension, axle and wheels from the mad mudder kit. i build it from parts i had left over from other project in a month.
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e283/yelobike/redtruck.jpg

that's it for now, yelo
