ipod help

this is the old no color screen ipods but it seems that whenever i plug the ipod into the pc everything on the pc goes to hell, freezes all the time and windows will barely work, plus i had about 500 songs and now none of them are showing up on the ipod and i cant get itunes to detect the ipod either, but it still is showing up as a connected hard drive to the pc, any help appreciated thanks.

Hard drive failure maybe, or even maybe its the motherboard failing. Mine started doing this, and I listed the problems, then sold it. Hope you figure it out, though.

yeah, i would call apple care if i were you

try plugging it into another usb port (perferably one on the motherboard and not an add on card). my comp. did the same thing with my ipizzle, but it works great on the MB usb ports.
