hello everyone, my 99 4wd that i have, i think someone messed with the torsion bars in the front, cause I've been comparing my front end with other simular trucks, and my front end is up way higher than most of them, so what do I do to lower the front a little bit?

"Loosen" (turn counter-clockwise) the two bolts underneath the frame crossmember that the torsion bars come into. That's all you got to do. Should take you about 10min. Just be sure to take measurements to make sure you are even on both sides.

STEP 2 ====>> Check the alignment at a front end alignment shop..... could save your tires.

Why do you want to lower it? Is it higher than the back?

sometimes she looks higher than the rear, I really notice it when I have a full tank of gas. Most of the time, its level front to rear. But i like the back end up a little bit, gives it a cool stance, much how they come from the factory,

I think you're in the minority here. Most people, myself included, HATE the stance from the factory. Takes away from the 4x4 look, in my opinion. But to each his own. If that's what you like then definitely go for it.

I leveled mine for that very reason, it looked goofy the way it came from the factory

I have a 2003 Z-71, and I was just wondering if anybody could tell me how exactly to adjuct the torsion bars to raise the front end up level with rear end. Thanks

Im interested in either cranking my stock torsion keys or if the F-150's are better, putting those in the OEM's place. But I can't find any info or pictures on these forums by searching like scrapdaddy suggests. Can someone explain how to and how much to crank the OEM's and what the advantage is with the fords?
