I just bought an 05 TrailBlazer with a 6 disk cd changer radio. I notice that the red LED is blinking all the time while my TB is parking inside the garage with all door unlock.
If the alarm is not activated, I don't know why this light is blinking.
thanks in advance

It's just telling you that theft protection is active on your radio. It arms with the door locks, also telling you that your security system is armed.

Yes, there is no way to turn it off except replace the radio with an aftermarket unit.

Thanks to all. Oh well, I think the light should only be on when the alarm is armed and active.

Ahem. Duct tape. (OK, in that application, perhaps a bit of black electrical tape).
Laugh all you want. This morning (as in, 5:15am), I was on the highway and dimmed the dashboard down. The CRUISE (control) light doesn't dim. After a while, it got annoying and distracting, so I duct taped it. Problem solved (somehow, I didn't have trouble figuring out the cruise control was engaged without the bright green light telling me so).
What, YOU don't carry duct tape in the console?!?

True, how could I forgot duct tape?????!!!!!
And, no, dont carry duct tape, just a roll or two of electrical tape for taping the trailer wires up to make sure they dont move.
