There are times you have to go for it. I'm not that far behind you. I'm seriously looking into a black '05 GTO with the Tremec 6 speed but I plan on keeping the GTP. It's used with 5K miles. Gonna trade in the wife's Regal LS.
Don't forget about the AF GTO forum if you can put up with obnoxious guys like RamAirGTO.
Good luck Larry!

Good luck Larry, I wish I could afford one. Don't forget your friends over here, and let us know how you like the GOAT.

Sorry to see you leave Larry! Your knowledge of the Grand Prix was extensive and you have helped many members with their questions. I hope to see you in the GTO forum in the near future. Unfortunately, I can't afford one either but as a mod I have an obligation to keep these Pontiac owners in line! LOL

Thats the first place id gone a few months back and really didnt care for some of the ranting that would go on.Since they arent built here in the U.S. and its not a real GTO :screwy:
Ive been a Pontiac/GM person for years and still have my 83 T/A with the ZZ4 and 6 speed (summer car/shows) but I must say the 05 Goat with 6 speed is a blast to drive.
What do you all think about me keeping my blue thyme like I had on the GTP ?Thinking about getting the rear insert from PFYC in the same blue color. Then a set of headers and a Volant CAI....dam mod bug....lol
Mod day in Seattle and its a good picture of the blue insert that id like to add to the Goat

I like the blue Larry, I think you should stick with it on the GTO too. I've seen those lettering kits on E-bay pretty cheap, and you can even get them in reflective so they glow at night when lights shine on them. I've been kicking it around for my car, I just can't decide what color to get. My GT is the same color as your GTP.

Great looking car Larry! The reason the folks at work didn't realize you had a new car was the color, both are red and only true car guys would notice the difference.
I think the blue theme will go well with your new ride. Just watch out for those speeding tickets, they can put a crimp in both your wallet as well as your ability to drive!!

It's just a few bad apple die hard GTO guys, mainly with the old Goats. I don't even pay attention to them.
Anyways, here is a pic of the used '05 I'm looking at. It is the only one on the lot with the 6 speed. They have a silver and red but with the automatic. Got the price down to $26K and they will give me $5500 trade-in on a '99 Regal LS. Going to the credit union Monday and see what they say. How does the deal sound?

Sounds like a good deal ! Mine was $27,075 and it was the owner of the dealership's driver and had 2,100 miles.
Just found a nice CAI made by Volant for $249

BIG-L,
Even though I don't know ya too well, I definitely know OF you as I've read through the archives of this forum in search of one answer or another - more often than not, it's found in one of your old posts, so I thank you.
I unexpectedly ran across the website where you bought your reflective lettering, which was something I was still looking for :P
I have the "3800 V6" label on the quarterpanels of my '97 GT, & was wondering if anyone found decals for them as well.

Larry, You bought a fast car. Isn't it more fun to build one?
