i just installed a new vid card - geforce fx 500 with 256 ram. sadly, this is a vast improvement over my old geforce 2 with maybe 64 ram? Anyway, i finally got it working and got the colors adjusted to my tastes, but when i play a video in media player, the picture is ALL messed up. it looks like a white film is over the picture. any ideas?? The quality of pictures an dthe desktop is normal, however.
thanks

try and find an updated video driver from nvidia's site.
what windows you running? you may either need to update your direct X or possibly you media player version.

it's just regular avi and mpeg videos that used to work. why would i need new codecs?
