Hey, I decided that I will do something that is rarely seen on here. I've been inspired to do a regular joe car as a rust bucket peice of junk. This means I'm going to focus a ton of attention on rust and missing parts and damaged parts and panels. I don't have a car chosen yet, and I figure I'll just pick up one of thos cheapy ones from accross the street. Ill need some guidance on how to do some things, but I'm already innovative enough to figure some stuff out. I've already done one model to look like a 30's gangster car (all shot up with bullet holes, and fender damage and a flat tire.) Maybe I'll get pictures of that posted up. But anyways, let me know what you think of my strange idea. I'll be sure to get the car figured out and try to get pictures of it up as soon as possible. Oh, by the way, I'm like a half amateur modeller, so don't expect an exact representation of a rust bucket, but I will try my hardest. Plus I don't really have many tools... This is going to be interesting.

Because I felt like writing it down so then I have to carry through with it. If I don't make it so people pressure me for results, then i wont do it.

Moderators,

here is a 5 star rating for an idea of a project - nothing else.

Please make it possible to give 1.000.000 stars for first class models threads.

Yeah, I don't know where the 5 stars came from. But now it's down to three. Hope your all happy. I guess stars mean a lot to you people.

Here, picture of the box. Sorry it's blurry, I only have a webcam right now.

Yeah I know, its a Mercedes. But I'm not going to spend 30 bucks or more for a car that doesn't deserve such a high price. Such as, a VW golf for 25 before tax as opposed to a Mercedes 600 SEL for 9.99. Plus the kit is kinda crappy to begin with, so that is more incentive to make it look like a peice of junk.

Don't forget the bloodstains in the trunk.

Heres the body with some wheels. The first is the ideal ride height, probaby going to be higher. I've realized that the hood is going to have to be shaved to fit at the windsheild end. I'm thinking I might get another one to do up as a slammed merc. Here are the pics.

I tried out rear tires from a prowler. Supposedly 18 inchers. On have two of them. I have front tires which are smaller, but have no idea where they went.

Lol, good one, blood in the trunk. Mafia ties.

Just picked up some paints yesterday. Mostly just detail paints, no body colours. But I did pick up an interesting colour, Testor Lime Gold. I'd love to use it as a body colour for a car, but I want to spray it. I was wonerding if it's possible to get an enamel clear coat at all, and if not, then is there a way to maybe lessen the appearance of orange peel? I wish I could show you the colour. Its amazing. But untill then, I'll just press on with the current rust bucket project. Haha, more like start. I'll borrow a friends camera to get some good clear shots for you all.
