WIP, ZEFFARI..mix of zebra, giraff, the saffari on a ferrari

hello everyone. i just went out to walmart today and pikd up this miami vice ferrari daytona spyder (is this a 365 gt?!?!). anyway i have to have this kit competely DONE by next friday and ready for a competition, soo im hoping i can pull it off. other than that this should be a quick progress thread of this kit.

my plans are to make the car look "regular" from a glance, but then have this crazy animal theme going on in the engine bay, chassic and interior when inspected closer.:screwy:

QUESTIONS?: when i have painted the base coat and put clear on it, do i then rub the car with compound or how should i attempt this? thanks

A Little Background On This Kit :2cents:
The 1/1 Miami Vice "Daytona" Was In Fact A Kit Car With A Daytona Skin On A 78 Vette.
The R/M Kit Is Based On The 1/1 Car,So The Details Will Reflect The Vette Drivetrain,Etc.
I Like The "Exotic" Paint Theme(lol) Can't Wait To See This One :thumbsup:

and I concur with evo 8 owner ; the fact that it's not a real ferrari, so you can rape it anyway you want!

I did something similar to what you did to a mini, leopard style, there should be a thread around, check it for inspiration.

What i did is paint a yellow coat, then handpaint the animal pattern on it, seal with clear, lotsa clear and then compound the fuck out of it.
