666 you are spontanious and correct good job.
I think it would be a tight fit to get the engine in the car
plus even if it happens that the tranny is different im prolly gonna get a new one cause this one is a piece that was rebuilt , and is starting to give out...
prolly cause i threw it into reverse while doing 40 down the highway...stripped tranny vs an engine sitting in my lap.

Yea i threw it into reverse to keep from dieing horribly. This car has no alot of brake left. But anyway, I was on my way home from school and theres this jacked up toyota, one of the custom off-road rigs, well this guy was either drunk or stupid, or both because he went left into the turning lane, veered back right across the fast lane, slow lane, up onto the curb, and onto the nonexistant shoudler. He decided to stay there for a few moments, before he took a sharp left, almost perpendicular to the road, rolled his toyota, and stoped infront of two lanes.
Lucky me i was doing something illegal by coasting in neutral, and was already decerlating, saw the guy, braked, saw the flip, paniced, grabbed the shifter, and went in the wrong direction(to reverse), and then had fun as my car came to violent stop, and stalled out the engine. Sat there for a second, and then called 911

to answer the original question the 502 would fit just fine with a few modifications. And if you bolt a stock 700-r4 to a worked big block it will chew it to pieces. And I had no idea they were the same bolt pattern....thats interesting....I have always thought that you would need a different bell housing.
