What kinda mileage have you all been getting out of your front breaks before you had to replace them.

Wife drives ours most of the time, we got about 28k from the first set. It's an automatic, which doesn't help. I recall other owners with well over 50k on the original pads.

Depends mostly on your (or your spouse's) driving style, with terrain, speed, transmission, towing, etc. having affects as well.

Just changed mine with 36,000 miles on em. They still had enough pad for a few thousand more miles. Pads were cheap, so I changed them anyway.

2/3 of the pad left with 42,000 miles!

I change the fronts every 30,000 miles. Its cheap and worth it in my opinion.

The rears can last up to 90,000 miles according to Nissan.

My rear shoes were completely gone at 30k. I'm sure the fact that the drums were full of crud from 'wheeling didn't do 'em any favors.

I changed mine at 50,000. I have an AT. I would think driving style has a lot to do with wear on the front pads.

... but the left side wore much faster than the right. Still, not bad for the way I drive ;)

I heard alot of people paying over $100.00 for brake pads. I found this coupon for factory brakes installed for $89.00.

We got 55K or so from ours, (Auto, V6, 4wd). Cost us about $70, ordered from the local Nissan dealer. Problem was, it took about 4 weeks to get the pads, and they were well worn. In fact I had the rotors turned to repair some scoring.
