2003 Cavalier, How do I remove the heat shield by the gas tank and replace it? It appears to be riveted on.

The heat sheild between the gas tank and exhaust pipe. I need to drop the gas tank to replace the fuel pump assembly.

Did you ever figure out how to remove the heat shield? I need to drop mine as well and it DOES seem to be riveted on.
