What's the cooling capacity '98 neon SOHC?

Can someone please tell me the cooling capacity for this vehicle? I know you're thinking 'go buy a manual', but I'm doing a 'buy, fix-up, sell' thing with this car, so I'm trying to save some cash (for the head gasket, timing belt, water pump, etc). Thanks!

Haynes manual says approximately 6.5 quarts. Unless you are experienced in working on these cars, I think you will need to buy a manual anyway. I wouldn't think of looking in a manual for older vehicles(except for torque specs) but after looking in the manual for this engine I am intimidated. Good luck on your project.

I have heard this. Just looking at the manual makes it look difficult. I will find out as soon as I get time I have to replace the head gasket on a '96 Neon. Well thanks for making it sound easy.

Well thanks for making it sound easy.Just follow the manual and you should be good. Having air tools help and alot of extensions will also. There is a saying that goes "Neons, turning regular people into mechanics since 1994." I think it is very true.

Thanks for all the feedback. What makes it easy working on this car is all the info available on this and other forums. I just got the front of the engine apart and discovered the camshaft seal just sitting against the camshaft pulley which explains all the oil spraying everywhere. It looks like the headgasket is OK and all I'll have to do is replace the seal (with a little permatex) and replace the waterpump and timing belt. It looks like the HG was already changed since it extends out between the 3rd and 4th cylinders and it appears to be metalic.

I have my 98 Owners manual in front of me. On the back cover, It says:
Non A/C 6.5 Quarts
A/C 7.0 Quarts
