Does anyone here use audiogalaxy? Does anyone know what happened to it? I can't download anything off of it anymore. It won't let me get a single song. Not even from local bands that I KNOW their songs arent copywrited. So does anyone have any info on this?

I used to use it a while back, but I got annoyed with it when they started filtering stuff out.
I suggest a different p2p client.

Well I didn't think I had to worry about them filtering out the stuff I was downloading, mostly techno and house types of music from foreign clubs and stuff. I tried to download Metallica but couldn't, but it was no big deal because my between me and my bro we have all their cd's anyways. But what would you suggest? I dont like kazza because they use spyware, morpheus is gonna start using your unused bandwidth/ processing power for whatever they need it for. (I read it in some article somewhere, I'll post it if I can find it) And morpheus takes forever to download stuff and like 75% of it is all porn anyways.

I just started to use WinMX. Pretty good, not the best but it definitely get's the job done. There is also XoloX, which is a spittin' image of WinMX. iMesh is another. Go to Cnet Downloads (http://www.download.com) and do a search under MP3 search engines, then when the list shows, click on downloaded to filter the most downloaded ones. You should see some pretty interesting choices.

Well, so far, no luck with what I'm looking for with WinMx, but I'll go back to cnet downloads later tonight when I get back in. Thanks for the suggestion:smoker:

Hey YellowM, it got shut down. Go to RIAA.com for more info. It sucks ass. I could find any super rare music there, most of the time at 320kbps. It had that nice want list that automatically started DLing or finishing an uncompleted song. You could let that run in the backround all night and get 25 new CD's in one day. But, it looks as if it's not strictly p2p. Go with this new program called Blubster. It is just like Napster, internal player and all. It has doubled in memebers daily since AudioGalaxy has shut down. Already over 1 million downloads just off of downloads.com. I have a feeling this one is going to get really big.

Man, that does suck. Like you said, you could find super rare stuff there, it was great quality, and it downloaded so much faster then all the other things. Thanks for the site, and I'll go give Blubster a try.
