Citroen C2 "Super 1600" Ypres Rallye 2005

Hi,

while waiting for warmer weather to airbrush the 355 Daytona, I prepare my next project. A resin Citroen C2, that drives in the class under the WRC-cars.

The kit is from Domino.

I guess I was half-sleeping while posting this thread: First I forgot where I got it from and now -you are absolutely right- I didn´t mention the scale ;-)

Yep, Rally Raider, you are right, it is 1/24 and will be positioned next to the Xsara WRC from Heller when finished.

The lower part on the co-drivers side is missing ?!?!?!

So lets use some putty and now it looks -not finished yet - like this:

No problem, I build the dash back to kit standard and now have correct photos for reference.

Hi, yes, meanwhile I know, rallyemaster sent me some great pics. My reference pic was probably from an older car.

Today I painted the roof white, next week the lower part of the body gets a red colour-treatment

I've just understand something about this mysterious dashboard...! :grinyes:
on the rollbar it is written PH'sport, and I believe I know where this version is from and why it has such dashboard.
I think this is the previous version used by Sebastien Loeb to open a french rally championship event, the Rally du Var, where the C2 S1600 was seen for the first time.
that could explain why it hasn't the definitive race car dashboard.

I was on holiday the last week, so I couldn´t answer until now:
The C2-kit is from Domino, I think it is produced by Renaissance and it is ok.
The 355 is yellow and red meanwhile and I want to decal it next week.

body is painted with automotive paint out of the can and decals are on by using lots of Microsol. In some areas I must use some colour.

Looks excellent, is the P/E you are using standard with the kit or aftermarket? I love the ratchet strap on the spare wheel, this is going to be a very cool model

all etched parts I use come with the kit. The only thing I miss are the CF-decals for the rear side of the seats, but that isn´t a bigger problem.

I just love the C2! Wish that they would make a road version of this car. This project looks fantastic, Well done!

this is a great WIP. I love the livery of this car-very eye-catching. the details and all the little extras make this a real winner. what I really like in the progress pics is the incomplete body sitting on axle stands, just like a real car. super effort.
