Mariofest 2k2.... meet in MD

Ok kiddies its that time of the year again, were gona change locations slightly for this years due to the fact that wheaton regional park will be extremely packed this time of year so here goes:
Date: July 6th, 2002
Place: Dave and Busters 2nd floor parking lot (white flint mall, bethesda, md)
Directions: Look at the bottom of the post for the link.
Time: 1pm
Mission: Meet, chill at dave and busters and party. Go for a cruise causing havok on the ppl of maryland!

Unfortunately since the parks are gona be so packed i doubt we will be able to BBQ however we may bring some stuff so we can all snack on. I will be holding a raffle for some neat stuff (helms manuals on cd, perhaps some parts and maybe a vcd or two), ill post up all the info on the raffle for you guys later, the raffle will be free of charge and anyone who comes will be put in the drawing. This is also a swap meet so bring some cash and bring parts you wana sell or get rid of. So we are going to meet at D&B chill and try to sell our parts, raffle, go play some games at D&B then finally end it with a cruise(yet to be decided where) and we will end up at a 2nd location to take pics and thats that. So tell all your friends, bring your uncles and grandfathers cuz anyones invited.

Yearly warning: If you are a icy hot stunna interested in coming to race or do burnouts or donuts in the parking lot, do yourself as and us a favor and do not come. We want to have a fun meet and as long as we behave there is no reason we should run into any problems. So if you are gona come and show off your dubs or floss your ice and smack talk, stay home, saturday cartoons are awesome. With that said, i hope i see you guys there.

PS: We have a group coming from phillie and a group coming up from Georgia so if you guys from out of town wana come its all good, i generally put out of towners in a hotel at my marriott discount which split into a few ppl is chump change. Once I have confirmed the out of towners I will designate the rooms to certain ppl and anyone coming must contact those ppl to verify their need of a room. We have ppl comin from jersey, phillie, georgia, virginia so come on out and chill.

Sounds cool, is it only for 4th gens or can del sol's and others come to play as well? (I have a CRX but my friend would like to know). Also, there isnt a fee right? Just free fun? Cant Wait, 16 days. :frog:

I'm going to try and be there, i'm stationed in GA but my parents live only a few minutes (5-10) from D&B so i'd have a place to stay. What time is it starting??? Everyone can admire my new exhaust (sidepipe), no burnouts? damn... guess i'll have to restrain myself.

Me and my friend are trying to drive up tonight so we'll be there saturday if everything goes according to plan. My 'rex is temporarily out of commision but i'll bring pictures, we'll be riding in his Del Slow.

Long Story here, the exciting part is near the end, so if your not big on reading go there, otherwise, you can see how being screwed ended up being cool.

Hey all, man let me tell you about the day I had trying to get to Mariofest. First, we leave at like 12:15, and its supposed to take an hour, so we're already running late. Then, theres traffic on the Rt 50 Bay Bridge, sets us back like 15 min. After that we think we're home free tho, WRONG!! We get 6 miles from Exit 34, which takes us to Rockville Pike, and theres an accident. We sit in traffic for like 45 min and go 2 miles, God Damn. So now its like 2, we're thinking it'll be aight cause we're almost there, wrong again (God hates me). We end up taking a wrong turn and in the process of doing a U'y in the middle of the road, I hit a curb (LOL), luckily it just hit the plastic and there was no mark. Then get on the right road but we're going North rather than South and end up in Bethesda. So we stop and ask for directions at two gas stations (we had to stop at two because the first guy was middle-east and I wasnt sure if he knew what he was talking about, of course, just our luck, the next gas station we stop at for directions is all middle east again.), both guys said 3 miles south on Rockville Pike, so we figured we'd be right there. But its really like 10 miles so it took like 15 min, so now its 2:20. We eventually get to the mall and after 5 min, we find the right parking garage. Then we get up and see like a dozen CRX's and Civics, but NO PPL!!! We try to go into Dave and Buster's to find everyone, but since we're only 17 we cant get in (21 is min, what the Hell is that about?), and the guy at the door was no help. So then we're thinking we should just leave, because this is gonna be pointless. But just as we are getting ready to roll out, like 4 Integra's (1 Yellow Type R :D ) come up and start talking to us. They all have nice ass Integras with at least some engine mods. We get to talking and we tell them about our situation, how the 4th Genner's ditched us :p , and so they say they'll try to get us in. But it turns out if you're not over 25, you cant have under 21 guests. So then they say they'll go try to find the 4th Gen gang and see if anyone's over 25. But they have no luck. We end up just chilling with them all day, they were cool, we went to one of the guys cousins house, he was buffing his nice ass Acura Legend. From there we go to Starbucks and get something to drink. Then everyone decides to split up, we of course have no idea where we were or how to get home. Luckily, one of the guys lives in Annapolis right off Rt 50, and he and another Teg are gonna go back to his house, so we said we were gonna follow till we get on 50. So we go on 495, and they are both fuckin flying, with me lagging along (First of all, they have much faster cars than me, and second I'm near the E on gas, so I gotta conserve as much possible, but still be keeping up). I manage to stay with them. NOW HERES THE MOST EXCITING PART OF THE DAY:
We get on the exit to go to 50 right, and we are on a two-lane one way overpass that turns rather sharply. Well the Tegs are both doing like 70 around the turn, so I think HELL I can do that too, WRONG!! I end up spinning out, doing damn near a 180, and almost hitting both walls, SCARY AS HELL. So I end up stalled out in one of the lanes, everyones looking at me like I'm crazy (dont know y :rolleyes: ), I get it started then get on 50, back up to speed. The Teg guys tell me to go to the one guys house so I go and they were like "Oh Shit wat happened" so I tell I'm just a sucky driver :D . I leave after that and then head home. Quite an eventfull day, but all in all, I enjoyed it; even tho you 4th gen guys werent around, bastards. J/K, so yeah, that was my day, I'm thinking too much reading, oh well :frog:
