Well some tests say K&N is better, and some say apexi is, but for the money, K&N is unbeatable.

^Ok I thought you were just joking in the header thread, but come on why do you keep doing this?
What you heard is wrong.

I suggest that you get the AEM Dryflow Filter. It's a really great filter.

i just put on my AEM short ram air filter and theres this hose that i had to unplug from my old stock intake and when i put the new intake in there was nowhere to plug it bac into so i just plugged it with this rubber thing that came with the package. i was wondering if thats what im supposed to do with that extra hose

For the first question: I'd say go with K&N. They're great and you can keep washing and re-using them over and over.
As for the last question with the hose. There should be a tube outlet coming from the intake. The hose in question connects from the valve cover to the intake hose outlet for the blow-by gasses from the engine.

How is K&N and AEM overrated?
K&N is one of the best flowing filters for not alot of money, and AEM is expensive yeah, but for the CARB people out there, AEM is one of the best choices.

I recently bought an AEM DryFlow filter and it seems to be working great. I'm sure there's no HP difference between an oiled filter and the synthetic, but the fact that all you have to do is rinse it with solution periodically, let it dry and you've got a new filter...that’s sweet :grinyes:

lets see, k&n or apexI? whats cheaper? lol a filter is not going to give you mad vtec power =P stick to the cheaper one or even stock as long as the filter is not restricting your flow and filtering out crap for your engine, you're good to go!

if you're still lookin for where that hose goes...just get a breather filter...it'll solve all your probs...just like this...

I had a question about those breather filters while we're on the subject... If you put that on (and you acutally have the hose hole in your intake) then what do you stick in the intake hole? Do you just plug it?
