Why does GM have to be different?

I went to install a wired FM modulator for my Sirius and discovered the tiny antenna plug in the back of the radio. :banghead: WTF!!?? Also what's with the 9/32 and 13/32 bolts everywhere? Can't they use a normal size? All of my previous vehicles had 10mm,12mm,14mm, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16 etc.
Maybe I'm wrong. Have they started using metric fasteners now?

Well not everything...when I was installing a bull bar the other day the tow hook bolts were standard and the trim bolts were metric. Half the install time was spent getting up and down to get the right tools! :banghead:

most of the sizes depends on ware the part was made or what made it. if it was made out of the contry or by a robot chanses are its metric.

I checked around and found them at Circuit City. I had to buy 2 wires at $12.95 each. Pep Boys had kits for Ford, VW and Nissan for $12 to $17 for both wires but no GM.

So I have to have both metric and standard sizes to work on this thing?!:wtf: I have a set of metric tools but what a PITA.
