Need ECS strut information plz

i need to fix the front left strut wiring i suspect theres a broken wire there somewhere cause when i turn the key on i can hear the left strut making continuous noises and the ecs light is flashing when i turn the key on.
i want to replace all the wires with new thicker(stronger) wires but dont know if its possible to unplug the wires from the strut end, or are they connected directly to the strut motor and just unplug from the main car wiring loom.
does anyone know if you can unplug the wires from the strut end and if so how difficult is it?

pull of the black plastic cover under the hood on top of the strut tower, the one that says "Do Not Put On Hands or Parts". There is a harness underneath and theres a good chance that if your ECS has a problem, the wires underneath are damaged. if japs knew english, it would say "do not put hands or parts here"

you should be able top pull the cap and unplug the harness in 30 seconds...

thanks ive been meaning to fix that but had nobody wit the experience and skills to ask
