Turn Signals Clicking

Just wondering if anyone can help me figure out what the heck the clicking noise coming from my turn signals is? even though the signals aren't on, the clicking noise is still there. :banghead: Just got it back from the shop $1800 later (due to other problems) and they can't figure out what is goin on with the clicking. :screwy: i've already done the recal work on the hazards last year. I have spent so much money on this car, it's not even funny. Thank god for extended warranty. Seems to me that everytime it rains, it pours, if u know what i mean. So any help on the Clicking sound is appreciated.:2cents:

Join the club, alot of us would love to go back in time and go with another car.. I guess they went out of buisness for a reason :)

AMEN, but still looking for a solution, because the, SO CALLED (so special) G M T E C H N I C I A N S got no clue. No heart feelings toward the ones who do though. Even though i can't find them.
P.S. this CLUB is getting pretty big.

I have the same problem with mine, but only when it is really humid out. I suspect when the air is on and the hazard switch may produce a little condesation is what I think causes the clicking. Thats my 2cents!

I've joined this forum tonight to try and find out why my wife's 2002 Alero's turn signals keep clicking when not activated too! Obviously I'm not alone. When we first purchased the car, the turn signals did not work and it was as already mentioned, problems with the hazard warning system. The thought occurs, it may be the same. I can only say, this time, the car had just had a high-pressure car wash just prior to this happenning. Sorry I can't help more. I'll make some calls and get back to you all if I have any success.:banghead:

Im also haveing this problem on my wifes alero the guy at the dealer said he has never heard of these problems with these cars but i think he knows what it is he just wants me to spend the money for them to fix it some has to have a solution to fix this i feel like trading it in soon if i cant get it fixed

i fixed the proble i pulled the multi function switch apart and cleaned all the greese out and put new grease in and no clicking

Thanks so much for your reply. when you say 'multi-function switch,' what exactly is this? Is it the indicator arm? Would appreciate clarification.

When it's moist or raining out, my turn signals don't even work unless I press the emergency/hazard lights button, then it works again. I know that's not your problem, but whatever.
