new 07 spyder thoughts

It was shown a while ago at car shows but I havn't seen a topic on here yet. What are yourt thoughts on the new spyder?

I've been glancing at the picture for a while. Personally I think the back end of it is way to big without the hatch. I like the 2g's alot. The 3g's were just too elongated. This one just looks like they rounded out the back of the car because they didn't know what to do with it.

Also the small front windows in the conceptcarz.com picture look really really dumb. But thats just my personal opinion. I really do like the front end there though.

I really don't ike any spyder, I think that fron end is the same a the 06 se.

Every car has its ups and downs. Besides the 2g of course!!!! lol

I like it, They kinda brought back the 2g in it some.

I don't care what anybody says, Mitsu is getting some of the ground back they lost with the 3g. I'm liking the new looks of the spyder.

Yea VERY VERY little at a time lol. The 3g is proably the ugliest car ive ever seen. Reminds me of a cat fish.

The new spyders look really nice, IMO. I like big butts...and the spyder looks sweet with all that junk in the trunk.

definately looks alot more like 2g specially the front I think. they just need the hump now :) and maybe a turbo or awd model


As for the back I think it looks great on the hard top's i dunno hasn't grown on me yet for this convertible.

i think mitsu it startin to get back on track with the 4g eclipse in any of the trim models. anything as long as it's not a 3g. the 07 spyder is nice but damn am i liking the new camaro. i find it interesting how everything is turning towards the past again with all the "retro" looking stuff.

edit: retro was a horrible word to use, muscle car era would have been better.

i guess im the only the that noticed the rays wheels,really i dont care for the new future cars but it just makes cars i want cheaper as years go by.

I don't like it. But, they don't have to please me since I don't buy new cars :p.

From the back it looks like it's trying to be a 350z, but it's not attractive IMO.

I like the new eclipses including the spider, except for the ass end.

I hate the rear of the new eclipses. I love the front end and everything else, just not the rear.

The rear looks like a big blob of jello. I love those wheels though.

I'm not a convertable guy either, but I just wish they would quit calling them eclipses. Its like they were spawned from a sperm bank our cars donated to, it has a relation to us, but we don't want to claim them. ;) IMO they aren't related to our cars at all.

I might be wrong but I think he was refering to the 4th gens. But I agree, spyders are sexy as hell.

Sorry I didn't get my whole thought typed out, I was making a reference to ALL 3G and 4G cars. I still dont like any convertable but I dont hold anything against them. I just hate the 3G and anything else mitsubishi puts out with the eclipse name on it. They aren't our cars and IMO should have a different model name. Im a business major so I know why they keep the model name so dont go off on that rant please. Sorry for the confusion, its one of those things where your thoughts are coming to you faster than your fingers can type and things got left out. All is good. :thumbsup:

lol. Not worth a damn. the bottom lip was pretty busted up when I got it, and the cracks have only worsened. On top of that its now missing a tooth. When I moved I was following the trailer and a decent sized box(6X6X22) came of containg a small christmas tree and smacked my the front of my car. It busted out the passenger side fog light and rolled the front corner of my hood a little bit right next to the headlight housing.:frown: Its no big deal, one day I wont be broke and will be able to fix it up.

I mean I like but no matter what view I look at it from, there's a voice inside my head saying...its not a DSM...its not a DSM. I mean how hot would it be if they had a higer end model..spyder only..awd turbo 4g63. People be goin nuts I think b/c the new lancer's arent dsm's anymore that our coming out. I read that it sport compact mag. Different engine(mivec), some weird drivetrain now (s-awc), and turbo between firewall and engine(eww...). They labled it as a Tuner's Nightmare!!!

I'm likeing the new Spyder, the only thing that I don't really like is the way that the hood and the wind sheid meet up.

3gs = Mitsu fuck up. (no offense, my personal opinion)
4gs = Getting back on track, but not quite there.

The back end is just too damn big, it kinda dwarfs the rest of the car. I'm beginning not to mind the hard top, but I dont like the spyder 4g. I guess the sexies eclipse to ever grace the road is going to be the 97-99's.

EDIT: Damn, I just saw the new Camaro. Mmmmmmmmm, daddy likey. Its a little wierd shaped, but overall I like it.

wow. I totally dig it. I usually look at a car for it's potential, more so than what it looks like stock. Some 20" hyperblack 5Zigens, lowered to eliminate fender gap, the fatory body kit, some sweet eyelids, and a nice light bar on that thing...awww yeahhhh. I can see my next project coming up :grinyes:
