Duals...

Not the best set-up for true duals....but the best the exhaust shop could make work with my UMI tunnel braced torque arm.
Better than the y-pipe set-up for sure.
Might consider cutouts eventually if my numbers are low.
Yes...the car is jacked up on the drivers side at the subframe.

Yup. 3".
The X is a 4" X-pipe.
Now if only I could get this damned 'too much gas' issue worked out....

It goes up over the axle...into small billet mufflers (2) and out the back in the stock locations.

might sound dumb...but what does an "x" pipe do?

Tunes the exhaust flow. Basicly.

the x pipe supposedly creates a suction in one side of the pipe. when the exhaust flows through one pipe, it sort of creates a vaccum in the other pipe...which pulls the exhaust through. its sorta like normal spray guns (not grav fed)...

About how much work you got left on that beauty?
Mr. Luos
02-03-2006, 08:20 AM
Depends.
Having some timing issues it seems. Might have to tear into the front of the motor to double check the cam/crank timing. Hope not.

Are the sub frames UMI also?
My 79 has Long tubes that x then go into one muffler from each side then out the back of each side. From Pypes. But like you said not avail for LS1 Gens. There are places that make duels for LS1's - most dump in front of the rear axle and eat up ground clearence...

Mr. Luos, is that your rear differential leaking on the right, or is that stain from your overflow? Looks like maybe you hav spun the tires a few times and thrown some axle grease :)
