maintenance

ive got a 2002 taurus with 45,300 mi. The trans. fluid needs flushed around 50K, im just wondering what other kind of maintenance(fluids belts etc.) there is and when its suppose to be performed. thanks in advance

Should be listed in your owners manual.

If you have the owners manual, it will tell you in there.

Do not flush the transmission,it is a big no no.My father knows a guy that has his own transmission shop that does valvebody cleanings because someone had their transmission flushed.Replace the transmission fluid and filter.The pan gasket is reusable,do not throw it away.Look in the owner's manual if it has one still.Sometimes it is gone,someone threw it away,at one point.
