The questions i have are this. To help you all answer these questions, this is being based on my engine, it will be brand new with 0 miles on it when i get done with it.

1. When dsmlink is done will it still perform stock until i hook my laptop up to it?
2. Should i break my engine in with synthetic oil normal oil?
3. When i run this for 500 miles break in time should i keep my stock injectors in and stock fuel pump?
4. When i get my 255 pump rewired will i still need a fuel pressure regulator even tho i will have DSMLINK?
5. What else should i be asking? lol

Still learning alot here guys even tho i been here for 2 years. DSMLINK is going to be all new to me. Thanx for the help guys

Here is a pic of my computer before i send it out, just to tease you guys that do not have eproms  just kidding guys

1. I dont see why it wouldnt but I dont have anything to back that up.
2. I think I remember Kevin saying it didnt matter and that he used dino oil because it was cheaper and you have to change it so often when you are doing a break in.
3. I dont think it will make a difference. Either way, the engine will be getting the same amount of gas.
4. Yes.
5. Good question, I would like to know as well.

Dsmlink retains the factory settings, unless you order the PROM with Inverted CAS or larger injecters. It will be just like a reset ECU with stock air/fuel & timing maps.

You will not want to use Synthetic based oil or Type III, IV or V based oils for breakin. You will want to use regular old oil for the first 1500 miles. After that it will be safe to use synthitic. Synthetic's have a harder time getting the rings to seat propperly.

Typical break in should be done in intervolts. 5 mile oil change, 50 mile oil change, 250 mile oil change and 500 mile oil change. And yes, keep the stock fuel system if you can, less grimlins.

Yes, you will still need the Aeromotive 13109 AFPR with your larger more pungent FP. It will require you to lower your fuel pressure for Idle and cuise conditions. Fuel pressure cannot be contoled by DSMLink.. It can only be ajusted in the fuel slider, global, and dead time settings.

although a rewired 255 does not require a FPR, most people would HIGHLY reccomend it. Your idle will be uber rich otherwise..........link is awsome
