allright now im having some problems with the wiring on my starter motor. I believe the battery is dead so i tried to jump start it and it turned over but very slowly and the battery post started to melt. I've had this problem before and it was a burned up ground wire . To tell a little about the engine- its rebuilt and I had it running before winter and it sat all through winter ,so about 3 months .could the oil have settled and just needs to be turned a couple of times to get thoroughout the engine. or what cause its starting to piss me off.

Are you sure you didn't cross the jumper wires? That's about the only way you're gonna melt a battery terminal other than sitting there in "start" for like 5 minutes straight.
