i have an 89 lebaron 2.5L turbo 1 aoutomatic, it has a series of what i would consider bad problems, im kinda trying to get it back into nice good running condition, so ill just start with the current most detrimental problem. So heres the list of symptoms, im hoping someone can give me a 99% close to positive diagnosis *crosses fingers* when starting the car after it has been sitting long enogh to cool down i have to turn the key numerous times(so the pump runs a few times; i think thats why it works) to get it to start up well, when it does finally start it runs really roughly and every once in a while actually dies out for a little while, once it gets running smoothly enough to drive anywhere, it idles a little roughly but runs smooth if given any gas or is in neutral. and finally if i try to accelerate even a little hard at anypoint in time that the car is over 35 mph it feels like it misfires, kinda like it "coughs" but without the coughing noise or the gigantic jerking of the car

I'm not sure if this is a complete 100% diagnosis but. sounds like the wastegate valve is not opening allowing your turbo to blow to much air in. I would say that you are pinging at this point as well. but if you drive normally its fine. Check all your vacuume lines on the turbo.. two main ones are the lower on that you can't get your hand on, and the one next to the egr valve.
I put my diag at 95% vacuume leak and/or bad wastegate valve

Before you tear your turbo apart, try checking your distributor cap. I had the same problem on my '85, eventually I replaced the entier distributor (after three sets of caps and rotors).
