1995 S-10 4WD. A bolt on the transfer case has ruptured one of the oil lines going to the remote filter. Is there a way to replace these lines with out removing the transfer case? If not can anyone show/tell me the right way to remove the transfer case. TIA

jack up the front. remove skid plate. remove front driver-side tire.
Reach in through wheel well and remove top bolt from engine-transmission brace rod. Then remove bottom bolt & drop the rod out.
use socket with u-joint and long extention to reach above the lines and remove 1 bolt that is between the lines.
remove 1 bolt on the filter housing.
separate plastic clip from metal bracket on oil pan.
pull the old one out and put the new one in. You do not have to jack up the engine on a 95.
Make sure the new one looks exactly like the old one. It is a 1995-Only part. the 96-04 part looks close, but will not allow you to replace the engine-trans brace.

can this oil line set up be taken off and a filter put in its place on the bottom of the block. Also how much is the set of oil lines mine are also leaking.

The oil lines can't be much. If you do the job with your next oil change it'll probably double the cost more or less a little.
Like I said on your other thread I might be wrong, but I don't believe that you can scrap this system and use just an oil filter due to clearance issues.
And welcome to AF bendog67

I finally got them changed. Thanks for the help. What I had to do was not fun. As I was told I went in through the wheel well but the trick is a flex adapter and several extensions. That was the easy part. To get the lines out you need to take out the two bolts on the passenger side axle mounting bracket, and also remove the bottom bolt on the driver side. This allows the transfer case to drop a little so you can get the old lines out and the new ones in. Royal pain the rear but I have had no more problems.

I do not know if you can mount a filter there or not. The cost new from GM is around $100 if I remember correctly. I found mine on line and got them for about $65. Make sure to get the transfer lines and not the cooler lines.
