Blower Problems

Need some help on this one. My car recently died and I had to get a jump. I think it was just the cold although I've never had a problem since I replaced the battery about 3 years ago. Afterwards every thing worked as before. Including the only works on high speed fan.
After letting it charge up I tested it by turning the car off and then restarting. Now the blower doesn't work at all, and my airbag light is on. I've replaced the resistor, but as far as I can tell it wasn't getting any power anyways. I've checked all the fuzes I could find and none were bad. The tempature control board is getting power as it lights up, rear defrost works, and I can hear the little elect. motor whir between selections(ie floor, panel, defrost)
I've heard something about a relay but I can't find it, and I saw in one post someone mentioned a fuseable link?
Any ideas?

Just an update. I have replaced the switch and the resistor and still no luck. I currently have a toggle switch sending power straight to the blower(which is working out good so far) Any insight is still appreciated as I consider this only a temporary fix and not a solution.

My '03 did the same thing. Right above the gas pedal, under( or behind, depending on your perspective) the sound deadning material, is a multi-pin plug. What this little gizzy does is take commands from your imputs, sends them to the Body COntrol Mudule (BCM). and do what you want. Well, check this plug.
Imagine you have a rod that you stick through the temp gauge.. RIght behind the gauge is the plug.

Mash it together. If your fan works, I helped. If not, yer out nothing. If this does work, rig a zip tie to hold the plug together.. seems this guy likes to slip once in awhile.. especially if you have big feet, and you accidently hit it with your toe.. (i did)
