The Subies actually look like new parts for once!!!!! Hopefully they don't look like junk in person.

The chassis detail on the WRX and STi are a big F-you to Tamiya.

I'm quite surprised that they didn't use the '04 chassis. Did Fujimi hire ex-Tamiya engineer?

Looking good.

Concerning the EVO, I don't believe the MR ever came out in the EVO 8.

Very funny though that HLJ switched the pictures of the cars haha!!! The WRX STi is in the WRX link and vice versa... LOL

Geez Frank, those have been on HLJ for about a week

I certainly hope the Subies are all-new tooling; the last ones were friggin' awful.

Will be fun...one of my best buddies recently got an '06 STI; it's bloody hilarious (and frustrating) to drive...you count to three and you have to let off, you'll be going 100+ and the inevitable traffic, usually a Buick, cement truck, or a cop, intervenes :banghead: The sad fact is that you rarely will come close to using more than a sliver of this car's capabilities in normal daily driving. I'd have to buy a house in the mountains to justify owning one.

Having a 1:1 to compare to the Fujimi kit could be a blessing, or a curse  :icon16:

Jeez that's a horrible looking car - what's with the massive wheel clearances???
Subaru have never managed to match the good looks of the original car!

Styling is subjective (since '02 all they've done is change it w/o really improving it, my friend loves the '06 look), it does look like it needs lowering. But if it rode any stiffer than it does already you wouldn't have any teeth left :icon16:

Subaru earned their cred from AWD workhorses and running rallies on dirt and gravel as well as tarmac, not by curb-scraping street racers/tuners. Cool thing is I'll build the STI model like I want it to look (lowered), but that's not necessarily a setup I could live with if I own/drive it.

I have to admit though, seeing the 06 rally car (no doubt gravel as it is slammed!) it does look rather tasty!

I love it when the company actually cares what we have to say! May be someone from Fujimi is actually reading this forum :)

I have never been a big fan of Fujimi but I am now considering getting this kit. The detailed chasis looks sweet! I will see if this kit can match the quality of a Tamiya in other areas like the interior.

If what I am looking at is correct, the chassis in that picture was built but not painted, yes? I can't really see the trees but it looks like too many parts for the one-piece chassis like in a couple of the Tamiya kits.

XeVeNskyLiNE: I like the car. I just thought they had issued it already and I was missing something. But I was mistaken. I really hope, also, they don't F up the subie like the last one:(
