so last fall I adj my chain, changed my oil, lubed my chain. took it home and it started humming when I got off the highway. looked at the chain -had no slack, super tight. so went back to work re-adjusted chain-ok now.
went to drive now it seems like it hums when slowing down like 30-0mph. sounds like i f-ed up the rear bearing overheating it when the chain was too tight. any advice here?? still rides and everythin like it should no vibrations... only when slowing down 30 or so to stop.

perhaps when the chain was super tight (tight like a tiger? gotta love austin powers), it may have pulled the wheel enough to cause some warpage to the rear disc.
my first bike had a warped front disc which was only evident at slow speed. as i was braking the brakes would shudder. at speed and off the brakes, the disc pushed the pads back so there was no shudder
or have you thrown a balance weight?
