Trailblazer EXT Cargo Panel

My husband and I just bought a 2006 Trailblazer EXT LS. In the brochure for the trailblazer, there is shown an "available" rear cargo panel system. Our Trailblazer didn't come with one, so I went to our dealer's service dept. to try to order one. The service guy was great, and spent much time on the computer and with the GM parts center trying to find one for me. He was stumped. I've searched online and can find references to it, but can't find one to buy, not even on ebay! I emailed Chevy, but they weren't any help at all. Does anyone know anything about how to get a panel? I mean, there are slots in the back of my Trailblazer to accomodate this thing! :screwy: I can't believe that you can't buy one. I saw one automotive site that had what all the packages and options cost, and the retail price of the panel was $80, which I would be willing to pay (thought I'd really like to pay less than $50). This is not the retractable cover or organizer. It is plastic on one side and carpet on the other. Thanks!

well my favorite online place to buy is a chain of junkyards that are all connected via a database....

try this...
http://www.car-part.com

I have bought various parts and on some they dont know what they have so you can get cheap... although on that it wont be cheap but nor expensive as you call one of them places up and say... Hey im looking for blah blah blah... and tell them before you order a new one you were curious if they had one they would sell you.. this makes it seem like you already have the $80 one picked out new and they may be able to hook you up for $50 shipped....

let us know if you find one.. im going to go on and search for the head console piece I would like..:naughty:

oh yeah the isuzu ascender is the same thing too so you could try calling them. My brother has an ascender and it is the same truck.. he told me that isuzu is just cheaper and dealers have told us that they dont hold as good of a value... funny thing is I got alot more options (one of them being 4wd) and I got it for $6000 less than my bro :screwy:

No luck :disappoin , but thanks for telling me about the site, it may come in handy someday (we have two older trucks that are probably going to be needing parts in the future!)

what kind of older trucks you got?
I got a 1978 chevy pickup.... 4wd... I got a 1994 140A alternator out of a pontiac trans sport, rear calipers from a 1976 cadillac eldorado for my chevy pickup.... mods are cool :icon16:
Brings out the redneck in me

oh yeah the reason why I told you about the ascender.. is you can give them a call since chevy couldnt track one down for you...

also call those junkyards in the search... just look for an interrior part so at least someone is parting out the inside.... maybe then you can find one.... some parts are hard for them to list so if you call.. they may have one already out...

This was not a factory installed option, but a dealer available accesory. You should be able to get one off of e-bay, or short of that, hit up the accessory counter at any GM dealer and they should be able to help you out. NOT the regular parts counter though.....
