aight I ordered some new gauges they were EL euro/reverse gauges and put them in the other day.

NOW heres' the problem

I broke my fuel gauge and engine temperature needles off! So now I don't know how much fuel I have and so on....(help)

on top of that I just noticed that when I drive the remaining needles the speedometer and RPM needles are WAY OFF??? for example my speedometer needle always starts off like at 40 or 60 mph,

My question is how seriously am I F*ck*d??? how do I replace the 2 needles and how do I fix my other two?

man I really need help

thanks for all

Whoa... not good!

The best thing to do is consider buying a new gauge cluster. (A CTR would do nicely! :D) Obviously, your's is truly phucked. Alternatively, your local H service should be able to fix the broken needles and recalibrate your speedometer and tachometer for a little less than a new gauge cluster.

just turn off the car, buy new needles, then just as close to the start points on the guages and you'll be fine.

Yeah replace the cluster. I did the same thing when i did my indiglo's and had to replace my fuel and water temp gauges.

I found a stock replacement on ebay for 75$ and at the dealer they wanted 120$.

not calling you an idiot...but first thing that came to my mind was...are you sure you got the right ones for your car? the right year and all? just thought i might bring that up :D

yeah I got the right ones for my car...

the problem was this, the replacement gauges say "oh look you don't even have to take the needles off for our gauges since our gauges have big holes that can slide right over them..."

thats fine and all but the problem was the original honda civic gauges aren't made like that... so in order to put my new gauges on I had to take the stock ones off, and to do so take the needles off. Once I figured out how to it was easy but in my excitement I went to quick on the fuel and temp gauges and snapped them off....so there you have it

so basically you all agree I have to get a whole new guage thingy?
then once I get that I can put my reverse guages on that?

how Do i solve the needles not reading right problem for future stuff?

thanks everybody for all the info most helpful

p.s. where can I get this CTR guage for my honda civic 2000??

Have you checked at Honda dealership first for the price of just the broken needles and labor? I'd try the easiest solution first.

Its generally cheaper to buy a new cluster than it is to have dealership fix it. My friend put indiglos on his 94 GS-R and right off the bat the temp gauge was fucked, then later as it got hotter the gauges started to lift and the needles hit them. He tried reglueing them but it didnt do the trick.

Although indiglows are cool I would not put them on my car. But I give FAT props to anyone who has them, and was able to put them on and keep them on without fucking any shit up.

Definately get a new cluster!!! I did the same thing, and I had to buy the cluster... Once an imports needles are broke, its cheaper to replace the whole cluster, rather than each of them individually... As far as the gas... Fill your car up, and reset your miles button to all 0000's and then run the car until the gas light or idiot light comes on.. Like mine I always got 312 miles before my gas light would come on... So I always knew how much gas I had... Don't sweat too much if your gas light comes on, you still have enough gas to get somwhere to get gas. Good Luck!
