96 Cherokee transfer case exploded

Hi my transfer case exploded on me on the hi way and I need to put a new one in. Does any one have a diagram or any kind of instructions for doing this? It has the 242 transfer case in it. I am replacing with the same one If any one has any tips for me that would be great. I have not done anything this major before So I am kinda lost. Thanks

exploded?

Yes it exploded The whole side blew off along with the chain and one of the gears. Not quite sure how but poof gone. got what wasd left of the old one out still working on putting the new one in.
