hey whats up.. last week when i was driving my crx would occasionally bog down to about 1000 rpms..so i would throw it in neutral then put it back in gear and it would be fine.. then saturday it bogged down then just shut off completely and it wont start now.. i hear the fuel pump, i changed the fuel filter, and then i took a spark plug out (still attached to the wire) and had somebody check for me if there was a spark when i turned the key. he said no. so i took the coil from my b16(sitting in my garage) distributor and swapped it in my crx (w/ zc swap) distributor-still no spark? what the hell could it be. i didnt change the spark plugs or wires-but they wouldnt act up one day- then be fine and then die another day.
any help would be appreciated thanks

You'd be surprised. I had issues with my car starting, and then it'd want to die out (especially at a stop sign or light, once the car warmed up); and it ended up being my plugs. And it would be fine some of the time and then just not start other times. But there was only 1 day out of that week that the car ran completely fine. So it'd probably be a good idea to just replace them. And if they're old, they'll need to be replaced eventually anyways.

It could be the ignitor.

If your car has an IAC then I would check that too, my car would run fine until it warmed up, then i had to keep my foot on the gas to keep it from stalling. In case you dont know what the IAC is...its a sensor that should be located on your throttlebody....(is on my car) Idle Air Control I believe is what its called

yea i figured it might have been the ignitor.. but i couldnt get that off without stripping the screws- so i guess ill head over to autozone and get an offset screwdriver or something. Since i couldnt get that off i swapped out the ignition module instead- still didnt start. Ill let you guys know tomoro if it was the ignitor or not.
thanks for the input
