Torque Steer

Hi all,
I have this problem on my 96 Max. the steering pulls (heavily) to the left when i accelerate, i dont floor the gas, just regular acceleration. But the car doesnt pull when I am going straight.
I dont think its alignment problem (the car only pulls during acceleration). i am suspecting torque steer may be the cause.
my question is which way does the max pull under hard acceleration? and what causes torque steer, is it the unequal length arm?
thanks in advance

My 2K2 has a lot of torque steer. Particularly if you are not going straight when accelerating. I never punch it around a curve or turn in first gear. Even accelerating straight I hold onto the wheel pretty good. Mine doesn't pull at all under normal acceleration.

Torqu steer is only a product of trying to keep the car strait, I don't see why you would hesitate punching it in a corner.... ????

Have your front end checked for worn or lose suspension components. Torque steer, although present in most FWD cars should not be as pronounced as you describe. Something is wroing.
Cheap tires will also enhance torque steer.
