Hello 2500 Hd Owners Guess What????

This is "ole Gat" from yesterday's wheel bearing question. I went to the Chevy dealer today to have my front end checked for wheel bearing issues. But before I disclose my findings let me start here. The truck that sets next to mine here at work is a fellow engineer, he is also a fellow 2500 HD owner who found that due to shedding tires on the front he had some issues. He took his in for a check-up and found the bearings to be out on both sides...(38,000) miles mind you.
So he asked me about it I said I had not heard of that but was taking mine in for some rubbing noises in what I thought was the rear...ha, turns out not only do the back side of the rear brake rotors build up rust due to design flaws, but yes...drum roll please.......my wheel bearings are out on the driver side. Lucky for me I get parts at cost for my truck because of a connection at Chevy dealership. But even with that 165.00 for the bearing and few bucks for install. All of you do yourself a favor and lift the front ends and grab the top and bottom of the wheel and do a push pull thing and check for movement.

Thanks GM for being so forth comming with your quality issues. I love my truck, but truly despise your ethics.
